INTRODUCTION:-

            Naegleria fowleri is known as Brain-eating Amoeba spreading in Pakistan fast. It is a single-cell living organism that is commonly found in freshwater, streams, wet soil, and rivers. It is so small that can be seen through with the help of a Microscope. It enters the body through the nose, reaches the brain, and causes extreme damage. The side effects begin to show in 24 hours and this bacteria can end individual life within 7 days.

Symptoms:

    There are multiple symptoms shown in a patient which lead to his death. A patient experiences a change in smell, taste, high temperature, drowsiness, disorientation, vomiting, nausea, imbalance, hallucinations, extreme headache, stiffness in the neck, and seizures.
    
            In Pakistan multiple cases have been recorded in different cities. A few days ago some cases have been diagnosed with Naegleria fowleri in Karachi, they were admitted to the hospitals and died after some days. According to health officials, A 21 years old boy got admitted to a hospital with symptoms of severe headache and high temperature on 18th June and after some days he expired on 6th July. Till now the total number of expires are five caused by the Naegleria fowleri. Another patient from DHA Karachi got infected by the Brain-eating amoeba. In the Month of May, Sindh Health Department confirmed three casualties due to this Bacteria there was no history of swimming in the pool and apparently cause for their death is due to the use of non-chlorinated water.

    The First case was reported in Lahore this week, the Patient was having an extreme fever and chronic headache after coming from the swimming pool and symptoms remained in him for four days. The man was admitted to hospital for one day and got expired due to a heart attack.
    Health Department advised the people to use multiple precautions before drinking water. Put some Chlorine into the water tanks and they also arranged teams to investigate the domestic water and swimming pools in the city.
